The serious stuff

What attracted you to Embrace?

I’ve always wanted to work as an agency designer and after interning here at Embrace, I found I really enjoyed working in a small team environment that had all the exciting design challenges that working at an agency has to offer.

What university did you go to and what did you study?

I’ve just graduated from Loughborough University, having studied Graphic Communication and Illustration. I mostly specialised in graphic design with a branding and publishing focus. My final projects at university included branding for a hot chocolate company, and a political manifesto design proposal.

What’s the coolest thing about your job?

I really enjoy being able to design for a variety of sectors from healthcare to financial services, and find that this diversity in Embrace’s portfolio really pushes me as a designer to learn new skills and use design to solve challenging questions.

Also, having always lived in the outskirts of London, I’m still in awe of the London skyline and I think it’ll be a while before I get over walking past the Shard on my way into the office every morning.

The important stuff

Tea or coffee?

Neither! But I’ll have a hot chocolate any day of the week.

You can choose any biscuit for that cup of tea/coffee, what would it be?

I don’t think you can go wrong with a bourbon, can you?

That would have to be my copy of “The Wes Anderson Collection: Isle of Dogs” which is all about the making of the Isle of Dogs film. This has to be one of my favourite movies of all time as it’s such a beautifully crafted film and also has a really intriguing plot. So this book will always have a home on my coffee table!

If you could pick a superpower, what would you choose?

I think being invisible could be pretty fun.

Name one dead celebrity you would like to have dinner with!

Probably Amy Winehouse, she was so talented.

My headphones, I’m music obsessed and can’t imagine a commute without it!
