The Saturdays

Social Media for Music Artists

To build and manage one of the UK’s biggest selling girl groups’ online fan base and community.

Social media for music artists encompasses many different disciplines but because of the group’s busy schedule, we have little access to the act themselves to develop content.

We strategically create daily and weekly posts for the group’s fans to achieve maximum.

We deliver ongoing site guardianship, official forum community and social network management. This work is typical of our activities around social media for music artists.

Our hands-on approach in acquiring and developing new content for the site helps keep the group’s fans highly engaged.

Activity includes:

  • News and creative content generation
  • Running competitions, offering exclusive video content, quizzes, recycling historic content and generating new conversations around old material.
  • Co-ordinating live Twitter Q+As, advising management on the best practice tips for Twitter for The Saturday’s individual accounts.

Engagement with Twitter followers and relationships developed with the owners of fansites to amplify promotional campaigns.

One of our most successful music marketing campaigns, we have increased the group’s followers to 1.4 million Facebook page ‘likes’ (15% increase); 654,743 Twitter followers (23% increase, both since August 2013). 95% of content is created from scratch due to zero access to the band or assets.

‘We need a communications/social media agency who take the time and care to truly understand the needs of each fanbase and relate to them in their own language and with content they care about. We use integrated communications agency This Is Embrace for The Saturdays, and I can honestly say that we’ve never worked with a more dedicated team who are constantly on top of all things online.’ - Adam Klein, Fascination, The Saturdays managers
