Integrated communications agency, Embrace were tasked with the web design and development of a new Surrey Police website. Police officers and corporate teams across the force needed a robust site and bespoke CMS to be able to edit and update content in real time to ensure relevant, timely and dynamic contact with the public.
The web development posed a complex challenge to develop a new build against a three-month deadline to ensure it was ready for the 2012 London Olympics.
Embrace conducted research to develop a full understanding of site users and their motivations.
We also researched and worked with the neighbourhood policing teams who would need to manage content and their own areas of the site.
Embrace worked with Web Content Accessability Guidelines (WCAG v 2.0) to build a DNN website with a fully editable bespoke CMS (in its second phase).
Embrace created a user-friendly and easy-to-use website but with a highly complex bespoke back end together with CMS and copy guidelines. Before the site went live, we developed full website guidelines and engaged in website training for the Surrey Police teams who would edit the site.
To have produced such a high quality result within a very constrained timescale is absolutely fantastic
