Creative communications agency Embrace were commissioned by Shakespeare’s Globe to create a dynamic and energetic creative visual identity for the Shakespeare’s Globe event season to celebrate the key 450th Anniversary of his birth.Shakespeare’s Globe wanted to create a series of unique visual identities for its events seasons that were both visually impactful but could communicate across various platforms and in assorted media. Shakespeare’s Globe always want to push the boundaries to create something unique as well as initiate debate around the role of women in Shakespeare.
This creative campaign required a unique approach: we conducted extensive research, ran discussion-led meetings and worked with one of the Shakespeare’s Globe’s inhouse academics to to create one of the theatre’s most compelling brand identities.
We created the visual identity and toolkit for the Women’s Wit project from which Shakespeare’s Globe developed all marketing collateral from posters to pull-up banners.
Thank you for your hard work and creativity invested in Our Theatre 2012... the design process this year really captured the participatory spirit of the project, honoured the young people’s ideas and brought a new level of learning. The end result looked awesome
