Creative communications agency Embrace were commissioned to create dynamic and energetic creative visual identities for the Shakespeare’s Globe summer events season 2013; Shakespeare On Fire.
Shakespeare’s Globe always want to push the boundaries to create something unique, so for Shakespeare on Fire, the company didn’t want to use obvious summer, fire or flame colours or themes to reference the anniversary of the Globe burning down.
For the Shakespeare On Fire theme, we used an original woodcarving of Shakespeare with a flame in his eye to express the concept.
The creative identity required a unique creative approach: we conducted extensive research and ran discussion-led meetings to create a unique brand identity.
We created the visual identity toolkit and brochures while other collateral was generated from our designs inhouse which included invites, posters and pull-up banners.
There has been an increase in recognition of the event seasons run by Shakespeare’s Globe together with positive feedback from both the venue and the public.
Thank you for your hard work and creativity invested in Our Theatre 2012... the design process this year really captured the participatory spirit of the project, honoured the young people’s ideas and brought a new level of learning. The end result looked awesome
