Embrace Breakfast Briefings: Financial Services Content Marketing 17th June 2014

Embrace have commissioned a report uncovering the use of search, traditional and digital communications by investors and advisers alike – and we’re sharing our findings on 17th June.

Embrace recently commissioned its first report uncovering the use of search, traditional and digital communications including social media by investors and advisers alike.

On Tuesday, 17th June, communications agency Embrace Digital Director Paul Wreford-Brown will be unveiling the results in the first of our breakfast briefings.

The Embrace report unearths interesting insight into investors’ and IFAs’ behaviour, media consumption and how it impacts on business.

Key findings include:

- A blurring between B2B and B2C audiences and approach.

 - Financial services are responding to digital media developments slowly but younger users are/will be at the helm of the push into social media as they source information from various channels.

 - Social media and particularly Facebook is relevant in this area and depth of engagement is high – with a percentage of investors having made an investment decision based on information they acquired via social media.

The results reflect activity that’s happening across other sectors, proving that social media is just as relevant in how to market financial services as it is in how to market FMCG brands or established social media strongholds, music and arts (one of Embrace’s other specialist areas).

The Embrace Breakfast Briefing will look at the research results, emerging trends and how financial services clients can effectively use social media as part of their digital communication strategies for 2014.
Digital Director Paul Wreford-Brown says, “Being a sector specialist, we’ve always had good insight into the needs and behaviour of the different investment audiences. I’m excited by our latest research as it adds to our in-depth understanding as to where and how investment audiences are consuming content. This enables us to advise and guide clients on the smartest strategy and channels for their marketing and communication mix.”

If you work as a marketer for a fund management company, wealth management company, financial advisory company or in the private investor or adviser press thenthis should be vital reading if you’re looking for content marketing services or at digital marketing strategies for the rest of 2014.
